FOOD AND PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
While writing – and partly photography – is what I do for a living as a journalist, cooking is where I find my art. The same goes for food styling and photography. The deeper I dive into the world of food photography, the more thrilling it becomes. Perfect droplets of water on even more perfect blackberries, the delicate texture of chia seeds, the translucent veins of mint leaves, or linden honey slowly dripping from a spoon…
But my first food photos didn't look anything like that. Mastering technique, light, composition, and all the little tricks doesn't happen in a month—or even a year. For me, it took six years, and I'm still learning. And what I've learned so far, I'd love to share with you.
